Just a quick post to wish everybody a great Christmas and New Year.
This time of year can be tough for people with a serious mental illness, especially those who are in-patients or in prison – and of course those who live alone in the community. It’s a difficult time for people with alcohol and drug problems too.
When everybody else is celebrating it can be hard to feel you are being left out. If that’s you then my advice is to reach out for contact: for some people that will be family and friends; others can approach their professional carers.
But if you are stuck then ask for help from my friends in Adferiad who are reaching out with a Christmas message on staying connected. And take a look at the brilliant videos made by Paul, George and Dafydd on Adferiad’s social media!
